How hotel pickup works in Dubai

Desert trips leave from the eastern and southern edges of the city, so collection is organised in zones. Vehicles start with the areas furthest from the desert — usually Dubai Marina, JBR, Palm Jumeirah and Al Barsha — and work towards Downtown, Business Bay, Deira and Al Qusais. That is why the offset shown for each zone above differs: guests in the Marina are generally collected earlier than those in Downtown.

Your exact time is confirmed the day before or the morning of the trip by WhatsApp. Drivers normally arrive within a 30-minute window, because traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road can vary. Please wait in the hotel lobby and keep your phone on so the driver can reach you.

Apartments, villas and areas not listed

If you are staying in a holiday apartment or private villa, send a Google Maps pin rather than a building name — many towers share similar names. Outer areas such as Dubai South, Jebel Ali, Mirdif or Silicon Oasis can usually be covered, though the pickup may be earlier or a meeting point at a nearby hotel or metro station may be suggested.

Guests coming from Sharjah, Ajman or Abu Dhabi can often be collected too, but it takes longer; ask in advance so realistic timings can be given.

Getting the most out of pickup

Have water, sunscreen and a jacket in your bag before the driver arrives so there is no delay. Let the team know about child seats, wheelchairs or anyone who needs extra help getting into a 4x4. If your plans change, message as early as possible so other guests in the vehicle are not kept waiting.
